OVERVIEW

Adapt Management Consulting is an international development management consultancy established in Ireland in 1997, with on-going operations from its main office in Pretoria, South Africa from which it serves clients in the Southern Africa region.

Adapt is primarily engaged in supporting international donor-funded programme design, research, implementation, turnaround/restructuring, monitoring & evaluation and/or impact assessment support services in developing countries, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Adapt is owned and managed by Flor Healy, an experienced and accomplished international development consultant and adviser.

Project Management and Team Leadership Expertise

27+ years of experience leading projects for private sector, multi-lateral donors and other clients.

Provides full-cycle management including design, operations, financial, administration and monitoring & evaluation to ensure successful implementation and meaningful impact. Special sector expertise in private sector, investment/trade and agriculture.

Stakeholder Relationship Builder and Communicator

emphasises the importance of establishing trustful relationships with

stakeholders and development partners to meet all interests on programming.

Advises clients on program design and inception, with an eye to planning, step-by-step measurement and lessons learned for sustainable impact. Works frequently with government ministries/agencies, private and public sector, civil society/NGOs, and donors such as EuropeAid and UKAID (DfID).

Expertise in Private Sector and Banking

Specialist in developing strategies and project activities in areas such as trade promotion,

SME development, agriculture value-chains and commercial and impact investment.

Provides advisory services to private sector SMMEs on financial management, planning and optimal financing mechanisms.

Strategic Thinking and AND Planning Processes and Advisory Services

Frequent leader in developing and designing projects,

including performance improvement, M&E systems and strategic reviews.

Incorporates on-the-ground lessons learned into strategic thinking and planning, including stakeholder engagement, to reflect context and realities of a project or programme. Conducts sector analyses, feasibility analyses and studies to measure programmes/projects strategically.
